Little Prince by Jane Ackroyd

Little Prince by Jane Ackroyd

This work represents the children’s story ‘Little Prince’ by Antoine de Saint Exupery in sculptural form. The tree, the outline of the asteroid and the pyramid which all make up elements of the tale can be seen as you start to imagine the story through the sculpture. (Source: Vivacity)

This sculpture is found at the end of the southern side of Peterborough Rowing Course, clumped together with two other public sculptures, Simon Perry's Quarry and Gibson, Lee and Whatley's Regeneration. I visited all three sculptures one recent weekend walking from far away Ferry Meadows with my older son. The weather was threatening with rain as we went there but only got drenched midway on our way back to Ferry Meadows.

All photos were taken with a micro four thirds camera (https://amzn.to/2O1vyYy) attached with a telephoto zoom lens (https://amzn.to/2O5mphT).
