Springfields Festival Gardens

Story | VR Experience

Resting in the bench

After a tiring day of shopping at Springfields Outlet Shopping & Leisure, mostly of windows, what better way to relax than taking a stroll in the adjacent gardens. In there you will have time to clear your mind and remonstrate ourselves on the scandalous amount of money we have wasted on random things we do not really need but because they are on sale so what the heck!

Hold on! We went to Springfields recently only to buy our eldest son a new pair of school shoes. It is an annual ritual before school starts as our sons' school shoes only lasted for a year. I do not know what kind of feet these boys have but even the expensive shoes only last a year with them. We did not buy for our younger son as he had his new pair of shoes only recently.

As tradition, every visit to Springfields since 2011 includes a 9-course round at the nearby Dino Golf. Recently renovated, this themed adventure golf course is still the same, only given a fresh facelift. Sadly though, my children's golf skills have not improved after all these years. Ha!

Back to the gardens! We decided to go to the part that we have not been in past visits. We took a stroll not knowing that we have gone to different named gardens. I only knew of it while I was researching for this blogpost.

As we exited Adventureland after the boys finished in Dino Golf, we turned left and follow the path in front of us. We went past Founders Garden before taking a short rest in the bench in the roundabout garden nearby. Then we continued past the greenwater fountain on our way to Jungle Island. My family went in for a quick look while I took some photographs. Our last stop was another quick sit-down on the bench in the roundabout garden of Memorial Garden.

I used my Xiaomi Mi Sphere 360 panoramic camera (https://amzn.to/2Lt1PkH) in taking some photos for this blog. I converted some of the photos into little planets for fun views. You can also view the 360 photos and an interactive virtual reality (VR) experience of the gardens in another post.

Note: a few years back I wrote about our previous visit to Springfields in my post Springfields Spalding: Close encounters at the Alien Garden.
