Wordless Wednesday 17-18 backstories

These are last two images posted for Wordless Wednesday in 2018. They were posted in December; as such, they have Christmas as its theme. Both were taken years apart and with different cameras and thousands of miles apart.

Magical tree

This magical tree covered in Christmas lights was actually part of Santa's Grotto, the main attraction for children inside Queensgate Shopping Centre during Christmas season in 2015. This was taken after Christmas and Santa was no longer around, probably starting his hiatus in the North Pole. The tree is what remained just waiting to be disassembled by the elves. I used my LG G4 smartphone to take this photo.

Belen

This photo of the Belen, the depiction of the birth of the child Jesus in a manger, was taken in my wife's family house in Bohol in 2010. This was our first (and only, so far) Christmas as a family in the Philippines. Only aged 3and 5 years respectively at that time, our boys have the best Christmas time outside of England. The camera I used to take this image was my now defunct Olympus Mju 725SW point and shoot camera.
