Peterborough Arch by Lee Grandjean

Peterborough Arch is site specific, aligning with the front of the Peterborough Cathedral. Made out of Oroko wood, a figure moves through a gateway structure. This view, however, is often confused by viewers speeding along in their cars in the parkway. This structure was commissioned by Peterborough Development Corporation in 1988. The majestic Peterborough Arch by sculptor Lee Grandjean followed that of Miles Davies' Untitled, 1989 sculpture if you are walking from Thorpe Meadows car park. Both are located on the north side of Peterborough Rowing Course and beside Longthorpe Parkway.

All photos were taken with a micro four thirds camera (https://amzn.to/2O1vyYy) attached with a telephoto zoom lens (https://amzn.to/2O5mphT).
